Cameron & Barkley expands through two acquisitions

Looking to expand its geographic scope, Cameron & Barkley, Charleston, S.C., is growing by acquisition: It has purchased Warner Industrial Supply, Minneapolis, Minn., a $50-million general line distributor, and Don E. Williams Company, Rock Island, Ill., a $42-million distributor of MRO products and integrated supply services.

Acquiring two distributors with locations in the Midwest fits with CamBar's plan to become a stronger integrated-supply player. Both companies have integrated-supply operations and are members of the marketing cooperative I.D. One.

Warner Industrial Supply has 11 locations in Minnesota, Wisconsin, North and South Dakota, Montana, Colorado, Illinois, and Washington. Don E. Williams has locations in New Berlin, Wis., and Concord, N.C.

CamBar is a $610-million distributor of industrial, electrical, safety, power transmission, and MRO supplies. It has 80 locations in the Southeast and Midwest, with a presence in Mexico and Canada.
