PPG Industries will expand its Laporte, Texas, fine chemicals facility. The expansion is geared for growth in phosgene derivatives and pharmaceutical products. It will also enhance environmental compliance.

FMC's Active Oxidents Div. has expanded persulfate capacity at Tonawanda, N.Y. Capacity has been increased by 8 million lb/yr to a new total of 60 million lb/yr.
