Wheel-Pitt settles with four traders

By Staff -- Purchasing, 5/6/1999

Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel has reached out-of-court settlements with Tradearbed, Duferco, Preussag International, and Titan Industrial, four steel trading companies named in the firm's lawsuit alleging violations of the federal 1916 Anti-dumping Act.

The four trading companies have agreed to certain restrictions on importation of foreign steel in the future. They have also agreed to purchase an unspecified amount of steel products from Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel beginning later this year, and have agreed to help Wheeling-Pittsburgh expand exports of its steel mill products.
