TRW to sell Man-Machine Interface

The Ohio-based TRW Inc has agreed to sell Man-Machine Interface, a non-core business within its sensors and components product line, to ITT Industries Inc. of White Plains, N.Y. The sale price will be approximately $60 million.

Delphi, Ashimori Industry team up

Delphi Automotive Systems and Ashimori Industry Co., Ltd. have formed a joint-venture agreement to pursue seatbelt business in the United States and other global seatbelt markets. Under the terms of the agreement, the new joint venture, named Delphi Automotive Systems-Ashimori LLC, will focus on new and existing opportunities in the North American, South American and European seatbelt systems markets.

Tower Automotive sells manufacturing business

Tower Automotive Inc. is selling its Virginia-based heavy-truck rail manufacturing business to its joint-venture partner, Metalsa S. de R.L. The sale is for $55 million in cash plus an earnout to Tower Automotive of up to $30 million.
