Bellwether tailors PMX to purchasing's needs
By Staff -- Purchasing, 12/8/2000
Bellwether's Purchasing Management eXtra's modular design lets purchasing operations tailor the system to meet its own needs. Buyers may start with a few modules and add more when they are ready. When used together, PMX's fully integrated modules automate the complete procurement process. Bellwether Corp. is located in Lexington, Ky. (www.bellwethercorp.com).
As such, PMX's Purchasing module collects data from the Requisitions and Request for Quotations modules. The purchasing module then feeds data to the Receiving, Inventory and Accounts Payable interface modules.
PMX interfaces with other systems, allowing users to share information between it and systems operating on PCs, minis and mainframes. Options allow users to:
Import suppliers, parts, account codes, material receipts, requisitions and purchasing histories from existing systems into PMX.
Export PMX data to virtually all types of databases and spreadsheets.
Export PMX data to accounting, inventory and MRP systems.
Export PMX invoices to an accounts-payable system for payment.
Users get a complete set of management reports that track exactly what was purchased, by whom, from whom, at what price, and how long it took to complete each step of the procurement cycle.
Multiple years of purchasing history are stored in PMX's database. Users may view historical data and current transactions online or analyze them on PMX management reports. Tel: (502) 426-5463.
