On July 11, WebTradeInsure (www.-webtradeinsure.com) launched two insurance products aimed at protecting the authenticity and intact delivery of items bought and sold through online auction and business exchange sites. Credibility insurance protects buyers against fraud and misrepresentation in the transaction, and can be purchased for items valued up to $10K. Transit insurance protects commercial freight and shipment of goods valued up to $250K that are physically lost or damaged as a result of an external cause during shipment. Protection is available directly to consumers or businesses through the company's Web site and through links on auction and business exchange sites participating in WebTradeInsure's e-Partner program. Insuring the company's services are prominent insurance carriers including New York Marine & General Insurance Co. A unique feature of WebTradeInsure is that buyers are protected throughout the purchasing process and buyers are given full rights and authority to directly submit and collect claims.
