McJunkin Corp. is acquiring the assets of Automation & Controls Specialists, Dublin, Calif. The management team of ACS will stay with the merged business after the closing and will operate as part of McJunkin's Controls division. ACS provides industrial valve automation solutions and other instrumentation and control products to the process control industry in northern California and western Nevada. A distributor of pipe, valves and fittings headquartered in Charleston, W.Va., McJunkin operates more than 100 locations in the U.S., Mexico and Venezuela.

Motion Industries has opened a new branch in Craig, Colo. The Craig branch is located at 457 Yampa Ave. and is managed by John Felton. "This branch reflects our ongoing commitment to meet the needs of our customers in the Craig area," says Bill Stevens, president and CEO. Motion Industries has more than 500 operations across North America, including eight distribution centers.

Graybar Electric Co. has opened a new location in Wilkes-Barre, Pa., to serve customers in northeastern Pennsylvania . The branch is the company's eighth location in Pennsylvania. Graybar's new 200,000 sq. ft. regional zone warehouse in Cranbury, N.J., serves as a replenishment facility for the Wilkes-Barre branch and other Graybar branches in the region. Customer orders for equipment and supplies needed for next-day delivery are shipped from the Cranbury Zone, allowing Graybar to consolidate and ship complete orders to customers.
