Watch the U.S. Postal Service save millions of dollars in revenue as U.S. businesses switch use of mechanical to electronic postage meters. The new usps ruling, which mandated the switch, went into effect April 1 and promises to help cut postage meter tampering and theft. Advantages to businesses of using electronic meters include refilling over the phone, which saves time by eliminating trips to the post office to have mechanical meters reset.
