Mita has introduced a six-seconds-per-page, six-in-one multitask capable LDC-820 laser fax for small business and corporate workgroups.Modular in design, the laser fax allows users to expand the power of their PCs with optional 600 dpi printing, twain-compliant scanning, and PC fax and phone capabilities.
"Our LDC-820 plain paper laser fax is packed with advanced fax capabilities and razor-sharp convenience copying at up to 6 cpm," says Tony Levi, director of national product support. "To increase productivity, users can add laser printing, PC fax and twain-compliant scanning capabilities. And a small footprint and easily replaceable single cartridge imaging unit makes it even more attractive."
The LDC-820 has a 14.4-kbps modem transmitting documents at six seconds per page. A two-second quick scan feature allows users to scan documents into memory via a 30-sheet Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) so there is no waiting to send a fax. Dual Access allows scanning into memory even while the unit is transmitting or receiving, saving time for users.
The facsimile has a standard memory capacity of 1.25MB or 75 pages, which can be expanded by an additional 2MB to 195 pages or 4MB to 315 pages. Larger memory capacity allows users to send and receive more pages and scan larger volumes of documents more quickly and efficiently. Transmissions also are automatically received into memory if the machine runs out of paper.
Advanced features include automatic dialing with 36 one-touch speed dials and 100 two-touch abbreviated dials and broadcast dialing to 136 locations.
A digital copier
Users can produce up to 99 continuous copies at up to 6 cpm with the LDC-820. Copies are collated electronically and users can select 50% to 200% zoom magnification in 1% increments using the control panel.
A laser printer
With the optional GDI printer board, the LDC-820 can print from any Windows application at up to 6 ppm via an IEEE-1284 Bi-Directional Parallel Interface. Included on the board is 4MB of printer memory.
The LDC-820 has a 250-sheet paper capacity and accepts up to 24-lb letter or legal-size paper and envelopes. Output is face-down for automatic collating.
