Expect purchasing's influence in PC buying team to keep increasing. New Purchasing Magazine survey reveals that purchasing professionals lead PC buying teams at 43% of responding companies. Additional 6% say that purchasing shares leadership role with representative from information technology department. As PCs continue to become more of a commodity buy, and purchasing pros continue to become more technically adept, expect purchasing to lead PC buying teams at most companies.
