Switch prices will drop and leadtimes will shrink this year. Stiff competition among suppliers has caused prices to drop 2%-3% over last 12 months; similar price declines are likely through 2000. Leadtimes are also shrinking. Leadtimes are stock to seven weeks, but delivery times for most products should drop to stock to five weeks because of excess capacity.
