Expect to pay more for SRAM this year

Expect to pay more for SRAM this year. Average prices for SRAM increased from about $3.64 to $5.25 last year. Tight supplies coupled with strong demand from communications equipment manufacturers--who tend to use higher performing SRAM--mean tags should rise about 8% overall in 2000.
