Moto sells components group

Motorola is selling its Semiconductors Components Group for approximately $1.6 billion to Texas Pacific Group. Motorola will also receive about 10% of stock in the new company. SCG makes standard logic, analog components, and discrete semiconductors. The sale is expected to be completed in the second half of the year.
