Stainless Steel now available at MetalSite

MetalSite, a major Internet market for the metals industry, announced last month that J&L Specialty Steel Inc., is the first to offer stainless steel in the MetalSite catalog.

Under the arrangement, buyers will be able to find J&L secondary flat-rolled products listed in the Web site's electronic catalog. J&L says it is the second-largest austenitic stainless steel producer in the United States. J&L is headquartered in Pittsburgh and has two production facilities located in Midland, Pa., and Louisville, Ohio.

"J&L is pleased to be able to participate with MetalSite in the promotion and sale of secondary flat-rolled stainless steel through the Internet," says David G. Pudelsky, vice president-commercial, for J&L. "We are committed to using all forms of technology to better serve our customers."

Other metals companies currently trading on MetalSite include Bethlehem Steel, Steel Dynamics, WCI Steel, Olympic Steel and Ryerson Tull. Use of site if free for both buyers and sellers.
