Market update, e-commerce

By Staff -- Purchasing, 7/15/1999

Hewlett-Packard has launched the second phase of its online personal computer sales strategy. It has created an online store, called Bstore, to sell Brio and Vectra PCs, servers, notebooks, and printers to small businesses. The move follows launch of H-P's Shopping Village site, which sells Pavilion PCs to home users. To keep its resellers happy, HP has also launched a Web site informing customers as to the value of resellers and an advice column for small firms looking to buy information technology products.
