The networking equipment market grew 17.7% in 1998 and is expected to grow 15.5% in 1999, according to Cahners In-Stat Group. The rate of growth for networking equipment will slow slightly in the second half due to purchasing freezes by Y2K-wary enterprises. However, Cahners In-Stat Group expects the overall impact of Y2K on the networking equipment market to be minor.
