Business update, name change

B.F. Goodrich Co. of Richfield, Ohio, the largest maker of military-airplane landing gear, will change its name to Inrich Corp. after completing its acquisition of Coltec Industries. Goodrich, which also makes specialty chemicals, wants to shed its association with the tire industry as it has not made tires since selling its brand name to France's Michelin in 1986. Michelin still manufactures tires using the Goodrich name, which has led to confusion.
