Chemtech Plastics will expand its Elgin, Ill., plant, adding as many as 20 new injection molding presses in the next few years. Chemtech now operates 22 presses for parts aimed at automotive and electronics markets...Newcor, a maker of rubber and plastic parts for cars and machines, will close its Livonia, Mich. facility, in August and consolidate operations at another Newcor factory in Deckerville, Mich.
