DaimlerChrysler to expand Kenosha plant

DaimlerChrysler is planning a $624-million modernization and expansion of its engine plant in Kenosha, Wis. The investment includes a 500,000-square-foot addition to the facility for a new engine line. The Kenosha program represents the company's efforts to modernize powertrain operations in North America. DaimlerChrysler's investment in powertrain operations now totals more than $3.5 billion since 1997.
