Biggest buying problems:

Internal forecasting continues to be an ongoing problem for buyers. "We have trouble getting enough internal leadtime" says a buyer in Virginia. "The biggest problem is not knowing what will sell in the near future" adds a Rhode Island buyer.

Other problems include dealing with top management: "The owner gives directives to buy at the lowest price, not at the best total cost,'' says a buyer in California.
