Prices of desktop PCs continue to fall. Compaq has cut tags by up to 17% on its Deskpro line of commercial desktop PCs. Starting prices begin as low as $899 for Deskpro EP series models with an Intel Celeron processor at 466 MHz, 32 MB RAM, a 4.3 GM Smart II Ultra ATA hard drive, Microsoft Windows 95, and V500 15-in. monitor.
