Stewart takes top Invensys post

Shelley Stewart, Jr. has been appointed senior VP, supply chain management, at Invensys plc, a global automation and controls company, headquartered in London. Stewart joins Invensys from the Raytheon, a $17 billion defense and government electronics company, where he was vice president of supply chain management, with responsibility for $7 billion in annual purchases. While at Raytheon, Stewart implemented supply chain initiatives that helped save $261 million in 2000. [PUR; Aug. 23, '01, p. 27]. His work experience also includes 18 years at United Technologies Corp., where he most recently was director of worldwide sourcing.
