David Walshaw has joined Codexis Inc. as head of production planning and supply chain management. Redwood City, Calif.-based Codexis is a subsidiary of Mazygen, and is a provider of biocatalysis and fermentation processes and products to the life science and fine chemical industries. Walshaw will be responsible for manufacturing partnerships and pharmaceutical chemical product supply relationships. He was most recently general manager of early phase development business at Avecia, the European fine chemicals and specialty chemicals firm.
Gerdau Ameristeel Corp. of Tampa has appointed Matthew Yeatman its new vice president of raw materials. In his new position, will be responsible for all raw materials purchasing, including iron and steel scrap. He is also responsible for the company's recycling division. Yeatman has 19 years of experience as part of Gerdau Ameristeel and its predecessor American Steel companies. His most recent position with the company was vice president and general manager of recycling operations.
Production Resource Group announced that Nancy Oram has joined the company in the newly created position of vice president of procurement, where she will be responsible for consolidating and leveraging all worldwide production, non-production and services purchases. Production Resource Group is a lighting and audio systems rental company based in New Windsor, N.Y. Prior to joining PRG, Oram worked at DaimlerChrysler Corp. for 14 years, most recently as manager of marketing services purchases.
John J. McGill has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of global supply chain and champion of emerging market utilization at automotive supplier BorgWarner based in Chicago, Ill. Cynthia A. Niekamp will succeed McGill as president and general manager of BorgWarner for the Drivetrain Group. McGill held that position since December 2002. Prior to joining BorgWarner, McGill was general manager of Eaton's fluid power and torque control products. His 18-year career with Eaton included positions in human resources, production, purchasing and manufacturing.
Schering-Plough Corp. announced that Richard R. Nabb has been appointed to the newly created position of vice president of global strategic sourcing for the global supply chain. He will report to Jerry. A. Martino, vice president, global materials management of global supply chain. Nabb joins the diversified healthcare company from Bristol-Myers Squibb where he was vice president of Americas and strategic planning for technical operations.
Dave Moynihan has been promoted to the new position of senior vice president of supply chain for Constellation Brands, a producer and marketer of several alcohol brands, based in Canandaigua, N.Y. He will be responsible for identifying supply chain management opportunities and leading Constellation's global strategic sourcing initiative. Moynihan recently led a company-wide sourcing initiative that streamlined the company's global supplier sourcing process. His career with Constellation began in 1996 as director of quality operations with Canandaigua Wine Company. In his new role, Moynihan will report to Alexander Berk, CEO of Constellation Beers and Spirits in Chicago, and Stephen Millar, CEO of Constellation Wines based in Adelaide, Australia.
