Suan Avery -- Purchasing, 3/3/2005

Once again, we're looking for a few good MRO buyers for PURCHASING magazine's All-Star MRO buy team. We're asking readers (on both the buy and supply side) to nominate purchasing professionals who have a handle on the MRO buy at their companies. That is, buyers who demonstrate excellence in the use of innovative programs to rein in MRO spending and/or manage relationships with suppliers. MRO buyers may also nominate themselves. Last year's team, recognized in our August issue, included David Kipp of Sonoco Products who helped raise awareness of the MRO buy among business leaders at his com-pany and Bud Darland of United Airlines who helped design and implement a HAZMAT Chemicals Direct Ship program that saved the airline $300,000.
