Emmett T. Vaughn has been named supplier diversity manager at Chicago-based utility giant Exelon. Vaughn comes to Exelon from his post as principal of Eminent Connections Consulting. From 2002 to 2004 he was director of business diversity for Albertsons and had worked as manager of supplier diversity for RR Donnelley. "[Vaughn] brings a wealth of strategic-planning expertise and diversity sourcing knowledge that will help Exelon meet its supplier diversity goals," says Delia W. Stroud, vice president of supply business operations and governance.
Jonathan House
joined Hughes Supply as vice president of supply chain management. He is responsible for leading an overall assessment of the current Hughes Supply logistics system and developing recommendations for continuous improvement. Headquartered in Orlando, Fla., Hughes Supply is a diversified wholesale distributor of construction, repair and maintenance-related products with over 500 locations in 40 states.
- U.S. Foodservice, one of the country's largest broad-line food service distributors, has added three senior executives to its procurement group. Rex Clothier
was named senior vice president of procurement. He was most recently senior director of procurement with Darden Restaurants. Peggy Curtin
, who has been with U.S. Foodservice since 1996, takes on the newly created position of vice president of procurement brands strategy and development. Alan Durham,
a 31-year veteran of the industry, who was recently the company's Midwest region vice president of merchandising, was named a vice president of procurement in category management and profit improvement.
- ITT Industries appointed John P. Williamson
to vice president of operational excellence. It is a newly created position where he will have global responsibility for a range of strategic activities including integrated supply chain and strategic sourcing, acquisition/merger integration and the company's Value-Based Six Sigma, Lean and other improvement initiatives. ITT Industries supplies advanced technology products and services in markets including fluid and water management, defense communication, optoelectronics and other specialty products, headquartered in White Plains, N.Y.
- ArvinMeritor ap-pointed Aziz Aghili
to vice president of commercial marketing and business development for the company's Light Vehicle Systems (LVS) Asia/-Pacific operation. This new role is in addition to Aghili's current responsibilities as vice president of the LVS global procurement organization. Aghili will be responsible for driving strategic Asia/Pacific growth opportunities within LVS, to include development of new business, as well as fostering current customer relationships. ArvinMeritor is a global supplier of a broad range of integrated systems, modules and components to the motor vehicle industry, based in Troy, Mich.
