MRO buyers plan regional meeting in the Ozarks

The Indirect-MRO Group of ISM is holding a regional meeting Nov. 1-2, 2005 at The Inn at Carnall Hall in Fayetteville, Ark.
The Supply Chain Management Resource Center at the University of Arkansas and NAPM-Arkansas are sponsoring the event in response to member demand for a regional conference. A tour of the university's RFID center is part of the conference agenda which includes these presentations by purchasing professionals:
- "Supplier Alliances: A Case Study for Success" by Michael Roetzel, vice president-purchasing, Tyson Foods.
- "Conversations We Need to Have: Preparing for the Next Set of Challenges" by Scott Searls, senior vice president, procurement and logistics, Alltel.
- "Spend Management…The Other Side" by Mike Lentz, manager, indirect support and processes, John Deere & Co.
Tim Underhill, president of Underhill & Associates, is presenting a one-day pre-conference workshop on Oct. 31 on strategic sourcing.
