Astrex is tops in sales growth

While avnet and Arrow had the most revenue in electronics distribution in 2005, they did not have the highest growth rates. That honor belonged to Astrex, a connector distributor with just 65 employees. It grew sales 65% to $23 million. Astrex was ranked 43rd in the top 75 listing. Among catalog distributors, Mouser Electronics had the strongest sales growth as its revenue increased 35.3% to $138 million. The Genie Group was the leader in sales per employee. It had $3.9 million of sales per employee for a total of $512.4 million.
Arrow and Avnet dominated product sales. Arrow was the top distributor of semiconductors and passives, while Avnet was the leader in computer products and connectors.
