More paperboard price hikes

Packaging firm Caraustar Industries announced a price increase of 8% on all tubes and cores produced from uncoated recycled paperboard effective with shipments beginning March 19.
"This price increase is necessary to keep pace with the rise in recycled paperboard prices, which have been driven largely by the recent escalation in price and global demand for waste paper," said Michael J. Keough, CEO of Caraustar in a statement.
Caraustar already this month announced a $50/ton price increase on all uncoated recycled paperboard grades and specialty paperboard products.
