Firms see DRAM dip

Hynix semiconductor says dynamic random access memory (DRAM) prices climbed 9% in the final quarter of 2006 but Kwon Oh Chul, a senior vice president, tells analysts they will decline soon despite a forecast for increased demand. Rival chipmaker Micron says prices for DRAM chip prices could drop by 15–20% in the current quarter due to seasonally weak demand.
