Solvents Increases Sought

Chemical firms want to raise prices by 4¢ on such oxygenated solvents as isopropanol, 2-ethylhexoic acid, 2-ethylhexanol, n-butanol and isobutanol. Also, some want to boost prices by 2–3¢/lb on such other solvents as methyl ethyl ketone, ara formaldehyde and ethyl acetate.
