Wholesale Prices Higher

Wholesale prices shot higher in February, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics. The Producer Price Index rose 1.3% after a 0.6% decline in January and energy prices ticked up 3.5% after sliding 4.6% the month before. The closely watched core PPI, which strips out volatile food and energy prices, rose 0.4%, compared to the 0.2% rise in January.
