Resins Growth at 1.5%
By Staff -- Purchasing, 5/3/2007
The plastics industry will lag behind the overall economy this year, forecasts DuPont economist Bob Shrouds, who sees resins production at 1.5% growing this year. That's down from 4.7% expansion in 2006 and 3.9% in 2005. Shrouds pins the drop in plastics purchasing to this year's slowdown in housing and automotive production.
