ACI Electronics acquires Tri-Start

Consolidation in the electronics distribution industry

ACI Electronics has completed the acquisition of Tri-Start Electronics, a regional distributor of passives in Ronkonkoma, N.Y.

The acquisition will further enhance ACI Electronics’ position as an electronics component distributor to the military and aerospace industries by including key passives product lines, says Harry Felber, ACI’s CEO and president. ACI Electronics intends to continue its growth strategy through additional acquisitions and product offerings.

ACI Electronics is a privately held semiconductor distributor based in Denver. It had $40 million in sales in North America in 2006.
