The current forecast from the Malaysian American Electronics Industry group says U.S. electronics firms will increase their production from Malaysian plants by only 7% in 2007 to $22.8 billion, a figure lower than the 10.5% growth predicted in March. The decline in growth is due primarily to price declines.
