ON Semiconductor expands in the PhilippinesON Semiconductor, a global supplier of power management chips, has announced the expansion of its production facility in the Philippines.
Construction of an additional building to adjoin the existing 223,917 square foot facility in Carmona will begin later this year. The expanded facility is expected to significantly increase production volumes by 2010 and create a number of engineering and other value-added positions in the factory.
Keith Jackson, ON Semiconductor's president and CEO, says the factory in the Philippines produces power management devices for computing, portable and consumer applications. Production volume has increased steadily over the last five years at the factory.
Digi-Key inks deal with AmprobeDigi-Key Corp. and Amprobe Test Tools have announced the signing of a distribution agreement. Amprobe is a supplier of testing, monitoring and problem-solving products. Primary products include clamp-on ammeters, power quality analyzers, multimeters and circuit tracers.
Amprobe products stocked by Digi-Key will include clamp-on DDMs, Megohmeters, current tracers, voltage detectors and wire tracers. These products are featured in Digi-Key's U.S. print and online catalog and are available to purchase directly from Digi-Key.
