Weyerhaeuser and Packaging Corp. of America plan to boost prices of corrugated boxes by 8% on the East Coast and 10% on the West Coast. They have joined other firms already in planning to hike prices of both linerboard and corrugating medium—the raw materials for corrugated boxes—by $40/ton in the East and by $50 per ton in the West.
