Uranium Price Off Peak

The U.S. energy Department's decision to sell uranium from stockpile dampened prices to $120/lb at the end of July, down from a record high of $136 earlier in the month. Uranium prices had been climbing virtually nonstop since June of 2003, when they were at $11/. Still, some analysts expect yellowcake prices to rebound later. The World Nuclear Association counts 74 reactors under construction and an additional 182 being planned.
