Suppliers Like GM More
By Staff -- Purchasing, 8/16/2007
Suppliers are starting to warm up to GM, according to results of the 7th annual North American OEM-Tier 1 supplier working relations study. In late 2005, Bo Andersson, group vice president, global purchasing and supply chain, announced a program to improve relations with suppliers and it appears to be working. "In the 15 years, we've been doing this study, we have never seen such a dramatic improvement," says John W. Henke, Jr., president and CEO of Planning Perspectives, which conducted the study. Still, suppliers like working with Toyota, Honda and Nissan better.
