Eastman chemical said it is expanding its capacity for cellulose triacetate (CTA), citing increased demand from the liquid crystal display (LCD) market. Eastman did not say in a statement how much it would increase CTA capacity at its Kingsport, Tenn. plant, but that the extra capacity would be online by mid-2009.
