Coreboard Capacity Expands

Stora Enso North America expects to complete its lengthy $35 million rebuild of a key coreboard machine in mid-February at its Wisconsin Rapids, Wis. mill. The project will expand recycling of various grades of scrap paper and board cuttings into 94,000 tons/year of coreboard (from 40,000 tons now). Coreboard is sold to producers of paper and paperboard, plastic film and chemical yarns.
