Purchasing and payables pros top agenda at NAPP 2008 conference

High performance in the procure-to-pay process is the topic of the keynote address at the NAPP 16th annual conference to be held Feb. 10-13, 2008 in Marina Del Rey, Calif. NAPP stands for National Association of Procurement and Payables.
Greg Spray, an executive director with Accenture's business process outsourcing service, is slated to give the talk.
On the conference agenda are presentations by purchasing and accounts payables professionals. They include:
- Creating a worldwide procure to pay organization by Mark Mortimore, vice president, global procurement payments and operations at American Express.
- P2P shared services—end to end optimization by Linda Lorton, global director, procure-to-pay, at MeadWestvaco.
- Aligning purchasing and payables at H&R Block by Gerry Hodson, director of enterprise sourcing operations, and Judy Bowen, enterprise payables, at H&R Block.
One forum each for purchasing and payables professionals provides attendees opportunity to offer their insights into the future of their respective functions.
A procure-to-pay solutions and technology fair will feature such suppliers as Ariba, Visa Commercial, GE Corporate Payment Services and BasWare.
