Ameristeel expands rebar

Steel mini-mill Gerdau Ameristeel is planning a major expansion at its mill in Baldwin, Fla. The expansion will increase concrete reinforcing bar (rebar) production by 400,000 tons/year by 2010, on top of a previous $83 million upgrade.
