ThyssenKrupp Materials North America now is part of global aerospace service center network

By Tom Stundza -- Purchasing, 2/14/2008

The purchase of Apollo Metals, a British specialty metals distributor, by ThyssenKrupp Services, has created a new global aerospace metals service center operation with 30 stocking and processing facilities worldwide and more than $700 million in annual sales.

The acquisition combines Apollo's largely European and Far Eastern operations with the ThyssenKrupp Materials North America aerospace service centers in the U.S. and Canada, as well as ThyssenKrupp Services' aerospace operations in Latin America and Europe.
