U.S., EU Snag Counterfeit Computer Chips

A combined crackdown in late 2007 by U.S. and EU officials seized more than 360,000 counterfeit computer chips. Bloomberg reports that a five-country probe found fake integrated circuits mostly from China tagged with trademarks of some of the major electronic component providers. Officials hope to be able to track the fake parts back to their factories.
