MRO Briefs

By Susan Avery -- Purchasing, 3/13/2008

Graybar is working with JVC Professional Products Co. of Wayne, N.J., to distribute its surveillance and security technologies. The distributor carries JVC Internet protocol (IP) cameras, analog cameras, and IT recording technology. The products will be available throughout Graybar's network of more than 250 locations in North America.

U.S. Bank Corporate Payment Systems in Minneapolis, has introduced a new product called U.S. Bank Access Online Payment Plus. For use with U.S. Bank's purchasing card (p-card) product, Payment Plus further automates accounts payables business processes. "Instead of issuing traditional paper check payments, clients can use Payment Plus, resulting in suppliers being paid with cardless U.S. Bank purchasing accounts," says Jeff Pape, senior vice president of product development. Suppliers are paid through use of either pre-authorized limit accounts or single use accounts depending on the client requirements.

With the launch of its 2008 catalog, Grainger introduced Tough Guy, a private label professional cleaning supplies brand. The product category consists of degreasers, disinfectants, foam and lotion soaps and dispensers and polyethylene trash containers. The product expansion is part of a multiyear program the distributor first announced exclusively in Purchasing in March 2005.
