Prices for small- and medium-size liquid crystal displays (LCDs) displays will rise 22% to $6.80 from $5.60, according to researcher iSuppli, due to the growth in popularity of digital photo frames and tiny televisions. In the first quarter, supply of LCDs exceeds demand by only 1%, according to iSuppli.
