Corn Costs Hit Ethanol

With corn prices at near-record highs and ethanol prices plunging, major ethanol producers continue to struggle and cut back capacity plans. The Wall Street Journal reports that while 2.7 billion gallons of additional ethanol capacity will come online in the first half of 2008, the resulting new capacity would be 20% less than prior analyst forecasts.
