China Expands Chem Capacity

If the Chinese government gives the green light, Shanghai Petrochemical will expand its ethylene capacity by 450,000 metric tons to a total capacity of 600,000 metric tons. Also China's biggest chemical refiner Sinopec Group said it would buy a 60% stake in Australia's AED Oil's Puffin and Talbot oilfields in the Timor Sea.
