Arcelor Unloads Sparrows Point

Russian metals firm Severstal is spending $810 million to purchase the Sparrows Point steel mill near Baltimore from Luxemburg-based ArcelorMittal. In December, ArcelorMittal called off a proposed deal to sell Sparrows Point to a group led by steel distributor Esmark, after financing fell through.
