Plexus expands its U.S. facilities

Plexus Corp. says it will expand its North American manufacturing footprint. The electronics manufacturing services provider says it will relocate its San Jose, Calif. operation to a larger 46,000 sq ft facility located approximately eight miles from the existing 36,000 sq ft factory.

The newer and larger facility will accommodate better operational flow, an improved work environment and investments in manufacturing technology, according to the company.

Digi-Key signs deal with MeshNetics

Digi-Key and MeshNetics have entered into an agreement for the worldwide distribution of MeshNetics' ZigBee modules, development boards and development kits.

MeshNetics, based in Phoenix, is a creator of ZigBee modules and software. MeshNetics products are used to create self-healing wireless networks that enable solutions in building automation, energy efficiency, HVAC, AMR, predictive maintenance, asset tracking and other application areas.

Digi-Key is a broad-line distributor of board-level components. It is based in Thief River Falls, Minn.

All American re-ups with Tyco

All American Semiconductor has renewed its relationship with Tyco Electronics and will continue as an authorized distributor for Tyco Electronics' CORCOM EMI/RFI filters.

Tyco Electronics' CORCOM power line filters, power entry modules, feed-through filters and capacitors, and signal-line filters are used throughout the electronics industry.

The new All American Semiconductor is led by a team of industry experts that are committed to rebuilding the company through significant investment in inventory, design and technical assistance supported by field application engineers.

Jaco signs ISSI

Jaco Electronics has been appointed distributor of ISSI's full line of products, including high-speed and low-power SRAM and low- and medium-density DRAM for the digital consumer electronics, networking, mobile communications and automotive electronics sectors.

Chairman and CEO Joel Girsky says Jaco's focus on new technologies allows the distributor to provide value-added solutions and services to its global clients.

ISSI is a fabless semiconductor company that designs and markets high-performance integrated circuits.
